Join Family Pathways!
Family Pathways began in 1978 as the Family Resource Center, a grassroots community organization in Chisago County, Minnesota. The Services offered and geography served changed and expanded over the years to meet the growing needs of the many different communities in East Central Minnesota, including Senior Services, Youth Services and Hunger Relief. In March of 1998, the organization changed its name to Family Pathways and adopted its current mission. It was anyother exciting year in 2014 when The Refuge Network, a domestic abuse agency, merged with Family Pathways providing an essential safety net of services to people in our community.
Communities we serve: City of Forest Lake, MN; Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine Counties in Minnesota; and Polk County in Wisconsin.
Hunger Relief serves nine food shelves; the program operates a mobile food truck visiting 19 sites monthly, holiday meals, school age summer lunch program, and volunteer-driven backpack program for children. Participants are welcome to choose their own items allowing them to select what their family needs and can use. Weekly visits are encouraged to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables. Additional assistance is provided to help participants determind what otehr resources and services may be available.
in 2016, we served 18,944 people and distributed 2.4 million meals. This was accomplished with many hands and many generous hearts. We hope that you will support us through this Walk to End Hunger!
